A table saw is similar to a circular saw, but the material must be bought to the table saw, whereas with a circular saw the device is bought to the material. Although these two saws are similar, a table saw is a little easier to use in terms of cutting precision. 

Table saws are found in workshops, but some are portable enough to be used on-site. The table saw excels at cross-cutting and ripping.
