Rotary drills are used for drilling in a range of materials, such as wood, metal and plastics, but are not designed for drilling brick, concrete or masonry. To drill these materials a combi drill is required. The rotary drill is also called a pistol drill. This drill is generally a basic mains powered drill, although some battery powered rotary drills are available.
- The key considerations when choosing a rotary drill are the maximum drilling diameter required and whether you prefer to tighten the chuck by hand or by using a key supplied. We currently supply three different sizes of rotary drills, to accommodate a maximum drill bit size of 6.5mm, 10mm and 13mm.
