Jigsaws are designed to cut a range of different materials, including wood, metal, plastics, foam and rubber. The type of blade used with the jigsaw will dictate what can be cut. In professional applications, or where cleaner cuts are required an orbital action (or pendulum) jigsaw is preferable.
